My Mastering Services have expanded greatly in the past year. I now use only 80-bit Metric Halo conversion and processing. This allows even the most exacting signal chain to be set up with no latency or phase anomalies, and with perfect recall. Mastering engineers not only need the highest level tools, but also access to world class listening rooms to fully hear and enhance your mix. With my access to the Masterdisk facilities, I am able to audition your project in the most exacting acoustics, and make true decisions to leave you with the most finely polished master possible.
I also program 80-bit unique+ DSP graphs. For example I can create a M/S processor with a parallel NY style compressor on the Side to lift the violins, and a transient designer from a side chain EQ on the Mid to bring focus to the vocals.Unlike computers (only 32 bit) or other digital processes (ProTools HD only 48bit) my Metric Halo +DSP operates in an 80bit wide bus. This allows massive headroom and computational precision. These processes happen without any additional AD/DA stages and in perfect phase. My tools are tested every month, and I am able to monitor at a bit-by-bit level of your audio as it passes for perfect recreation.
I am able to offer MP3 specific mastering and encoding. The change in format between .wav and MP3 often introduces unwanted noise and distorting artifacts. By separately mastering and converting for MP3 instead of using a CD master much greater fidelity can be reached. Resulting in a better sounding sample that takes up less bandwidth. If you plan on offering official MP3 versions of your songs on a web site or through another distribution medium, you should seriously consider Mastering specifically for that format. The greater range and high quality encoding that I can offer will greatly benefit your work.
My Mastering work is always of the highest quality, with regularly maintained equipment to ensure that your project sounds the absolute best it can. Much of my processing is done in the digital realm within an 80bit mix architecture. This is unique to Metric Halo equipment, a DAW is only 32 bit, and systems like ProTools HD are maxed at 48 bit. Your sound will be tailored to it’s anticipated distribution method. A theatre design will be balanced and programed for a larger system so it will sound natural in the playing space. A movie design will have a different balance so it sounds the best across a wide range of playback systems and home theaters both large and small.

Restoration services are offered as an option on any Mastering contract. Audio restoration will remove unwanted noise, hiss, or hum from a recording. This service is also available for those who simply want higher fidelity on old vinyl or cassette recordings.
The Sound Design is now located at Masterdisk Studios in NYC. A no compromise, world class listening facility. With only the highest quality custom Analog equipment, and Highest Definition digital hardware.
Please enjoy these images of previous shows I have designed or engineered. They represent some of Americas finest theatrical performances in the last 10 years on both the East and West Coasts, and I am proud to have played my part in them.
These are a few of the shows that I have worked on lately. This is by no means a complete listing. For more information please contact me directly through email.
At The Sound Design, we offer advanced services above-and-beyond studio Mastering, and creative Sound Design. Utilizing the newest and highest quality technology to offer you options on how your media is displayed and used by your fans. We help you harness the power and impact of these new technologies.
