Markousov : Et Baudelaire

“The sensual writer, the rebellious sickly poet that was Baudelaire, would he have been outraged (or relieved!) with a tribute to him from the band Markousov?

This power trio dares to dig into the collection of ‘Flowers of Evil’ and season those sublime texts with the pepper of uncompromising rock music, directly inspired by the great artists of the sixties: Jimi Hendrix, Bob Dylan, & Cream.

Markousov, guitarist, singer, bohemian child but not on the road since the rock music exists, is backed by Nathanaël on bass and on drums Nini Marguerite (Alain Peters, René Lacaille). Together they mark the foundation of a music unstructured but always rooted in the depths of the blues tradition. The guitar solos, raw playing, roll on the stamped of drummer Keith Mooniennes, while the bass cements all.

They carry a powerful style, very different but equally as successful as the experiments of Gainsbourg and Léo Ferré.”
