Silver Medallion : Lost Ones
My name’s Oren J, I’m the singer in Silver Medallion. Silver Medallion used to be a group, until our MC, Carnegie, died on tour on September 11th 2010, killed by a drunk driver after a show at the Mondrian Hotel in Scottsdale, just a day after we rocked 5000 people with Girltalk in Tucson. Now it’s just me, carrying on the torch so to speak, from Brooklyn NY.
I write music because I feel the need to express the angst of life. My best friends death, the eternal poverty of being a musician, just the state of living life without much meaning in this day and age. As a member of this generation that loves dance music as much as hip hop, that’s felt the effects of the recession through watching opportunities previous generations had for work and stability be lost upon my friends, a generation that’s in a perpetual state of falling except when we’ve got our hands in the air, I feel the need to let it all out.
“I moved to New York from Phoenix a year and change back. It’s a pretty typical American music dream story, a band blows up in their small hometown and turns their eyes to the big city, not knowing that the big city eats its young and spits out souls. Since then I’ve been caught in it, just feeling like I’ve led my whole life in this dream of finding something greater, and passing the time dancefloor to dancefloor and love to love until I get there. I wrote “Lost Ones” and developed it with NY producer Dave Edwards, and it’s our representation of living and dreaming in timeless city nights.”

Sagittarius Black : Medicine feat: Miss Melrose
Keith Lamonte Cyrus (December 3, 1985), better known as Sagittarius Black is an MC of African-American and Trinidadian descent from Brooklyn, New York. The son of a civil rights activist, Sag was taught at a very young age that change does not occur unless there is action. The rallies, neighborhoods and institutions he would find himself entangled in throughout his formative years would create the self-concious, humble, and dedicated spirit that his lyrics exemplify. Inspired by such artists as Rakim, Biggie Smalls, Tupac Shakur, Jay-Z, Nas and Mos Def, Sag successfully paints pictures of a young black male trapped between the seedy world of hustlers, pimps, gangsters, and thieves and blends it harmoniously with deep socio-economic issues, and harmless humor that is characteristic of his multi-faceted upbringing.
In 2006, Sag met 23 year-old DJ H. Blendz (formerly DJ Gunz) through a mutual friend. Together they formed the Brooklyn Collectiv, a music group geared towards developing artists of all genres, encouraging them to become songwriters and exercise creative control over their careers.

MASSIVE!
Minister G : Goodbye World
For the first half of his teenage years Minister G formerly known as GunDei gangbanged on the streets of Miami, chasing paper and cheap thrills. Influenced and motivated by the style of music that permeated hip-hop in the early 90s Minister G and a group of neighbourhood friends committed home invasions and terrorized rivals. In his mid twenties Minister G newly relocated to Montreal, Canada. After a 10 year career on the Canadian music scene he responded positively to God s call of salvation and gradually began to realize that he’s been deceived into trusting the values of a culture deep rooted in crime, sexism and nihilism.
Today the regenerated young rapper through his music is set to undo the damage done by those before him who misguided a generation that s now almost lost.
